La Promesse
Swan Lake is tragic, in the same way the lives of the people whom I see on my commute to work, are tragic. In real life, there is no prince and no resolution. There is only another day at the office, another bowl of chicken and lettuce, another aching spine curled over a keyboard.
La Promesse is my interpretation of an immigrant daughter’s American Dream, overlaid with the story of Swan Lake. It is a NYFW debut collection of imperfections, anger, and grief.
